Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 9, 2026
Temporary Notice
This Privacy Policy is a temporary placeholder for ScreenGrant while a formal policy is prepared. It summarizes the kinds of information ScreenGrant may collect, use, store, and share when you use the service.
Information We May Collect
We may collect account information such as names, email addresses, authentication identifiers, family and profile information, device identifiers, device role, app settings, task and approval activity, policy and rule settings, subscription or entitlement status, support communications, and technical information such as logs, diagnostics, network status, device health, push tokens, and usage or enforcement reports.
For invite-only kid login accounts, we may collect the invited child's email address and sign-in identifiers for account access, password recovery, and account security for the linked child profile.
Depending on the features you enable, ScreenGrant may process information about apps, device activity, allowed or blocked targets, VPN or network protection status, notifications, proof submissions, images you choose to upload, and other family management data.
How We Use Information
We may use information to provide, operate, maintain, secure, debug, improve, and support ScreenGrant; authenticate users; sync family settings; send emails and notifications; process subscriptions; respond to requests; prevent misuse; comply with legal obligations; and understand how the service is working.
Sharing and Service Providers
We may share information with service providers that help operate ScreenGrant, such as hosting, database, storage, authentication, email, push notification, app store, payment, analytics, diagnostics, and customer support providers. These providers may process information according to their own terms and policies.
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, to investigate misuse, in connection with a business transaction, or with your consent.
Children and Family Data
ScreenGrant is intended to be configured by parents or guardians for family device management. Parents or guardians are responsible for deciding what child, profile, device, and activity information is entered into or connected with ScreenGrant, and for ensuring they have any required permissions.
Kid login accounts are optional and invite-only. They let a child sign in to an existing child profile, but they do not create parent or caregiver permissions and are not used for marketing.
Data Retention and Deletion
We may retain information for as long as needed to provide ScreenGrant, maintain security, resolve disputes, comply with legal obligations, enforce agreements, and support backups or audit records. Some data may remain in logs, backups, provider systems, or records for a limited period after deletion requests.
Deleting a kid login account unlinks that sign-in from the child profile. The parent-managed child profile, devices, tasks, rules, and family history remain under the parent's control unless a parent removes that profile or household data.
When a parent or guardian deletes a child profile, any kid login account used only for that profile is also deleted.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures intended to protect information, but no service, device, network, or transmission is completely secure. You use ScreenGrant at your own risk and are responsible for securing your accounts, devices, passwords, and family settings.
Your Choices
You may be able to update or delete some account, family, profile, and device information in the app. You can also control certain device permissions, notifications, app store subscriptions, and platform settings through your device, operating system, app store, or account provider.
International Use
Information may be processed in the United States or other locations where we or our service providers operate. By using ScreenGrant, you understand that information may be transferred to and processed in those locations.
Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy at any time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
